Overview

A centralised digital platform designed to streamline the operations of CBG (compressed biogas) plants across India. It integrates scattered data from input materials to output generation, enabling real-time visibility, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making through intuitive dashboards and role-based access.

At the start of the project, we discovered a major issue — the data critical to running compressed biogas (CBG) plants was scattered across multiple tools and tracked manually. Operators, logistics teams, and finance heads had no single source of truth, making it nearly impossible for management to monitor daily operations or optimise resource flow. This lack of visibility and inconsistent tracking led to delays, reporting errors, and decision-making bottlenecks — all of which directly impacted plant efficiency and business scalability.

To address this, we began with stakeholder interviews, process walk-throughs, and pain point mapping across 12 user roles — from super admin to logistics head. We built detailed user journeys, defined task flows, and prioritised usability via low-fidelity wireframes. After multiple design iterations, we developed a centralised web-based platform that consolidated workflows, visualised plant data, and simplified task actions. We ensured accessibility, clear information architecture, and intuitive navigation tailored to each user’s needs.

Post-implementation, real-time dashboards replaced spreadsheets. Data entry inefficiencies were eliminated with guided task flows. We restructured critical modules such as logistics dispatching, material tracking, and safety reporting. Usability testing revealed a 35% reduction in task completion time. By aligning business goals with user-centric design, we transformed a fragmented system into a scalable digital infrastructure — giving RIL’s teams complete control and transparency over their bioenergy operations.
